Leadership
Today, America
is looking for leaders, not politicians. Leadership is the ability to get others involved in solving problems; ability to
recognize when a group requires direction; ability to interact with a group to guide them to accomplish a task. Leaders must
be persuasive, insightful, sensitive, creative, credible, organized, knowledgeable, consistent, fair, accountable, courageous,
and adaptable. Leaders must be able to comprehend the “big picture” when followers become side tracked on related,
but not important issues. They must have a clear, concise, logical plan and be able to explain the goals of that plan in terms
of effectiveness, timeliness, credibility, and usefulness. Objectivity, fairness, and decisiveness need to be foundational
points of embark in regard to leadership to effectively operate and manage.
The community of Maryvale has accomplished many significant goals and tasks. Leaders in our
community stand for doing the right thing, integrity, honor, and providing help and guidance to a community they love. Our
community leaders are driven by compassion, empathy, and servitude; not from a lust for power, money, or the need to control
the actions of others. We must embrace our leaders in Maryvale who are passionately committed to maintain justice and doing
what is right. Many Americans have been stirred by the economic crisis and are now demanding true leadership. True leaders
are a rare breed, but they are in our midst and our work is to find them and support them. The Maryvale community has made
a considerable difference in changing the landscape of our society and I am humbled to be a small part of such a magnificent
vision.
